Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · Boys Soccer Records 4th shutout in 5 games vs Franklin County

SUBMITTED BY COACH KEN GETZ

OA traveled to Franklin Co. for a  match on Tuesday night. OA came away with a 5-0 win to up their record to 9-2. This was our 4th game in 5 days a lot of games in a short period. We came in a little banged up also with 3 players not at school and numerous others hurting.  This didn’t stop us from getting our 2 shutout in a row and 4th out of the last 5 games. Hayden and Brian are really starting to get on the same page as they seem to know exactly where the other one is going to be. Nate Folop and Ted Geis both controlled the Middle of the field. Tanner Alley and Tyler Wachsmann stepped in for Mark Hoog who was out sick. The old saying is next man up and they proved again that we are a deep team.  We were able to get some of the JV boys in the game and rest some of our Seniors. Luke Ruter scored his first Varsity goal and just missed a second he also got one in the JV game.

OA 2- FC 1 JV wins their first game of the year to go 1-3 on the season. . It was nice to watch the JV as they have improved so much during the season.  Standing on the sidelines watching them make the right passes and being in the right spots and having fun as a team shows that they are working hard. Jacob Henson from Brookville was so pumped after the game I have never seen him run so fast. Drew Kersey is also from Brookville and scored a goal so he has bragging rights for the next year.
