Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · OA JV Boys Soccer ends season with scoreless tie at EC

“We only had 11 players healthy to play on Saturday EC had 20 plus so I guess it was better that it was cold instead of hot. It was nice to see the improvement we have made throughout the year. We had some great looks on goal. Sergio Dole just missed a header in the first half as it hit the cross bar. Sergio rolled his ankle in the first half and had to come out the last 5 minutes of the half but was able to shake it off and play in the second half.  Kole McGinn had to step into the fullback position for us and looked at home. Kole made  some runs out of the back and none better than a cross from about 24 yards out in the box late in the second half. We had 2 runners in the 6 yard box and they just missed putting the ball in the net. Probably what has helped this team as much as anything else is the emergent’s of Nick Moorman at the sweeper role. You can see Nick’s confidence growing with every game. This is true of every player.  Adam played the entire game at keeper due to Ethan’s broken wrist and recorded a shutout. It is a shame that their season is over now they will step up and help the Varsity. We are confident that this group can and will help us make a run in the tournament.”
