Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · OA Cross Country @ Columbus North Classic


The Oldenburg Academy cross country teams competed in the Columbus North Cross Country Classic . The girl’s team finished 5th out of 15 schools and the boys finished 1st out of 16 schools in their respective divisions.

The girl’s team was led by Mindy Eckstein finishing in 7th out of 104 runners and she was the first freshman to finish the race. She was followed by Carsen Thompson (31st), Melissa Meneses (33rd), Madelyn Mair (40th), and Sara Price (41st).

The boy’s team was led by Curtis Eckstein finishing 1st out of 116 runners. Curtis broke the course record at the meet by completing the 5k course in a lightning fast 15:10, which is one of the top 5 times in the United States this year! He was followed by Justin Fledderman (5th), Gabe Frey (21st), Greg Schroeder (24th), and Dave Kuntz (28th).

After 5 meets this year the girls team record is 41 wins with 17 loses. The boy’s team has 51 wins and 4 loses. Congratulations to our Twister runners!
