The Lady Twisters played host on Saturday January 7th to the ladies of Seton Catholic. The Lady Twisters opened senior night on fire. The Twisters defense hounded Seton in the first quarter as the Twisters with some transition baskets built a 14 to 0 first quarter lead. The second quarter started much as the first ended as the hot hand for the Twisters continued on some sharp shooting by Katie Kinker and Elizabeth Fiutem enroute to a 29 to 4 lead at the intermission. To start the third Regan Weberding joined in the long bomb show as she hit 2 of her own. Good defensive play by Hannah Moul on the boards kept the Seton Catholic ladies to one shot and out. The Twisters built a 48 to 13 lead at the end of 3.The seniors took over the 4th as Morgan Burkart and Dresden Lonergan joined their classmates and coasted on to the 65 to 20 victory for the Twisters. Coach Kerker noted, “It was great to see all the seniors on the floor playing together and having fun as they play their last remaining games in the Program.” Katie Kinker and Elizabeth Fiutem led the Twisters with 23 and 22 points respectively while Hannah Moul led the defense grabbing 15 rebounds for the Lady Twisters. The Victory moves the Twisters to 11 and 6 on the season. The Twisters will next be in action Tuesday the 10th of January as they play host to the Lady Jets of Hauser.
