5th Ranked OA Boy’s Soccer ends its regular season at 12-3-1 with a 3-0 win over Richmond.
It was the last time that 8 senior boys played at the graveyard. It showed how much this place means to them as players didn’t want to leave. It was only fitting that 3 seniors scored on the night. Coach Troy said it best last night, as he thought the intensity was there for the full 80 minutes. The boys had goals they wanted to meet and the boys laid it on the line last night to achieve them. Richmond had 3 shots on the night and 2 of them were on kick offs from 50 yards. Kudos to our Twister defense as they recorded their 6 shutout of the year. In 16 games we have only given up 15 goals.
Stuart Lamping scored in period 1 at 29:22 on a rocket shot from the right side of the 18. Adam Mullen scored in period on at 0:07 assisted by a Lucas McFee pass from the touch line into the 6. Nate Folop scored in period 2 at 4:32 on a great shot from the top of the 18.
Richmond at 3 shots, 2 on goal all in the first half. 1 Foul and 1 corner. Their keepers had 2 saves.
The Twisters had 25 shots with 5 on goal, 4 off sides, 5 fouls, 6 corners, 1 hand ball, and Chris Hautman had 2 saves. The Twisters created many scoring opportunities during the game but came up just short of finishing all but 3.
