On a picture perfect Saturday for soccer OA came out on top over Greensburg 2-1.

OA started strong with Nick Folop getting an early goal. “Nick twisted his ankle at practice on Thursday night so he was a game time decision on whether he could play or not.” Coach Getz said. It didn’t look like that ankle seemed to be bothering him. Nick was moving pretty good and was in the right place on a nice cross by Stephen Hoff. The Twisters outshot Greensburg 9-3 in the first half but it seemed as though Greensburg had equal possession In the half.
“I thought we were a big team but not next to Greensburg as they have a big and talented team this year much improved from last year. ” Coach Getz added. The second half started out good as Race Carle connected early in the half to put OA up 2-0. It stayed that way until the 15 minute mark when Greensburg lofted a nice shot over the head of Chris Hautman in the far corner. The Twisters hit the pitch again on Tuesday, September 8th as they head to South Ripley to play the first match of a doubleheaders. The Lady Twisters will play the night cap.
