OA records their second shutout of the year with a 3-0 win over South Ripley. “We talked before the game on how important it is to come out strong at the beginning of the game and I thought we did that. The second half I thought we came out slow. Not moving to the ball just no energy. We have to have that the entire game.” Coach Getz said after their victory.
Race Carle gave the offense what the Twisters needed with some help from his friends. “You can see the confidence in Race building getting more confident in his ability to score.” Getz said about Carle. Carle scored his second hat trick of the season, starting off in period 1 at 36:44 on a shot in the 18. His second goal came at 30:40 assisted by Blake Borgman’s free kick and a Race header in the 6 for the goal. Goal number 3 came in period 2 at 33:48 assisted by Nick Folop for a shot in the 18.
The Twisters had 15 shots with 7 on goal, 3 off-sides, 12 fouls, 4 corners and Chris Hautman had 3 saves.
